Woman alleges medical malpractice after knee replacement

Many Tennessee residents seek medical attention every day. Most of the time, they receive care that is professional and their health issue is resolved. Unfortunately, this does not always occur. When a mistake is made, unfortunately, serious injury can sometimes result. When a medical professional's negligence detrimentally affects the patient's health, the victim often seeks to file a medical malpractice suit against the negligent party or parties.

Recently, an out-of-state husband and wife filed a medical malpractice lawsuit, claiming that the woman suffered substandard care while she was a patient of a doctor. She has also decided to sue other doctors who were involved in her treatment as well as the  health care centers where the alleged malpractice took place. She alleges that she was mistreated by one of the physicians.

According to the woman's complaint, her arms suffered permanent as well as severe injury, which included a nerve injury that has lead to pain and weakness in her hands. The woman alleges that the injuries occurred when she was having a total knee replacement procedure. She alleges that the doctors as well as the hospitals and medical groups were all negligent due to the fact that they failed to give her the appropriate proper care.

When a patient in Tennessee suffers an injury as a result of his or her health care provider's negligence, the victim typically seeks to file a medical malpractice suit against the responsible party. If successfully filed, this claim sometimes results in a monetary judgment, which can help ameliorate some of the costs typically incurred. This process is usually begun by consulting an experienced personal injury attorney to assess the claim.
